Christmas Day &The Spring Festival

I.  Pre-activity

Divide the class into two groups, and ask each group to find some information about Christmas Day &The Spring Festival

II. While-activity

1. Ask students to tell some key words each to describe the two festivals in class丅

2. Make a table on the blackboard to list the similarities and differences between the two festivals. (e.g. how to celebrate the festival and so on. )

3.Ask some students from each group to act out the  stories about the origin of the two festivals, to let the class know more about them.                          

 4. Discussion:Why do the two stories, which carry similar origin have different ways to celebrate and have different influence to us?

III. Post-activity

a.Finish the list about the similarities and difference between Christmas Day &The Spring Festival

b. Find more similar festivals from different culture background.
