下面是一篇阅读教学的文字材料。请根据材料的主题与语言特点，设计读前活动（pre-reading activity），并对所设计的活动做出说明，包括设计的依据与目的。

Pre-reading

Step1. Free talk . Have a topic about lottery. first ask some questions to arouse the Ss's interests.  

           T: HOW can you become rich immediately in your life? 

               What's the easiest way to  become very rich for an ordinary person?  (Then show the Ss some real lottery and ask:  Look! What's this ?  ---------Lottery.

Step2.     More Questions:

         1.Do you buy lottery?   Have you ever been lucky enough to win a lottery? 

        2. Why do people buy lottery?  (  Ss1: They are eager to make a fortune.  Ss2: we havce so many beautiful dreams to realize. Only money can help us and let our dreams come true.  Ss3: .......)

       3. Suppose you are a 500 million winner,if you winn a lottery ,what would you do with your money ? (Ss have a free talk ,and give different answers as possible as  they can imagine.)

       4. Is money everything?  Can money solve all the problems?  Is it a bad thing or a lucky thing to win a big lottery?

2.  What's the writer's opinion?  ( Ss:  Often money causes more probloms than it solves.)

3. What are the three big dangers mentioned in the text?
