3)教学过程:

Step 1: Read the passage and find out the topic sentences of each paragraph

Step 2: Read the passage again and try to get the main idea ( in pairs )

Step 3: Presentation the students' answers and then draw a conclusion about

           step 1 and step 2 ( in groups )

    Topic sentences:

     paragraph 1: There are three branches of medicine. One is called"doctor medicine" or "scientific medicine".

     paragraph 2: A second kind of medicine is called "natural cures" or "folk medicine" in which less educated people try to cure sicknesses with various herbs.

     paragraph 3: The third kind is called "health spas" or "faith healing"

Step 4: Summary the method of the conclusion ( teacher )

找文章的中心句往往出现在每一段的首句或末句,要多加重视。而在回答一篇文章的主旨大意时,可以尝试将每一段的首句或末句连在一起,组成一篇小的类似与缩写的短文,再归纳,这样归纳出来的主旨大意较准确。

Step 5: Analyse ( teacher )

归纳策略对培养学生快速理解文章是很有帮助的。尤其适合于较长的文章,学生能很快地抓住文章的脉络,理清思路,集中注意力于所读的文章。
