阅读教学的过程通常分为三个环：pre-reading，while-reading，post-reading。如何实施这三个环节呢？在第一环节主要是激发学生对所学内容的兴趣，并学习和掌握新的词汇；第二环节是使学生感知、理解了故事大意；第三环节就是扩大学生的阅读量即拓展延伸，使学生学有所用。那每个环节都涉及到很多活动和任务。如何设计这些活动和任务关系到故事教学的成败。

作业一：

下面根据Lottery winners的主题与语言特点，设计读前活动（pre-reading activity）。

Pre-reading

Step1 Ask my students to investigate something about lottery in our county, and write a simple report.

Step2 The teacher comes into the classroom with a piece of ticket in hand  and says: I’m so happy and so excited today. The Ss will ask why? Now the teacher can show the lottery to the Ss and say: I won the sport lottery.

Purpose:In order to arouse the Ss’ interest in lottery.

Step3 Ask the Ss “What can I do with the ticket?”

Purpose: To motivate Ss’ background knowledge.

Step4 Does winning lottery have any disadvantages?

Purpose: to prepare for reading the following passage.
